Dhodia Lagna Parichay
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 5 September 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data the Dhodia Lagna Parichay app ("Lagna", "the App") collects about you, why we collect it, who it is shared with, and what control you have over it.
The App is operated by Let's Solve Together ("we", "us", "our"), an unregistered undertaking based in Gujarat, India. For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we are the Data Fiduciary for the data described here.
By using the App you consent to the practices described in this policy.
2. What we collect
Account information
- Your email address, name and Google account identifier, received from Google when you sign in.
Profile information you provide
- First and last name
- Gender and date of birth (your age is calculated from this)
- Height, and marital status
- Native place, work location and family location
- Caste and kul
- Whether you are working, and your LinkedIn handle (optional)
- Contact details you choose to add — Instagram handle and/or phone number
- Photographs of yourself
Some of this is sensitive personal data — in particular your photographs, phone number, date of birth, and caste/kul. We collect it only because a matrimonial introduction cannot work without it, and we ask you to share only what you are comfortable being seen by other members.
Information generated by using the App
- Which profiles you have viewed, so you are not shown the same person repeatedly
- Interests you express, requests you send or receive, and their status
- Members you have blocked, and reports you submit about other members
- A notification token, if you allow push notifications
- Session tokens that keep you signed in
- Basic technical logs needed to operate and secure the service
3. How we use your data
- To create and operate your account
- To show your profile to other members as potential matches, and to show you theirs
- To run the interest and request features, and to reveal contact details when a request is accepted
- To send you notifications about interests, requests and responses
- To enforce our Terms & Conditions, investigate reports, and suspend or remove accounts that break the rules
- To keep the service secure and to fix problems
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
4. Who your data is shared with
Other members
Your profile — including your photographs, name, age, height, marital status, locations, caste and kul — is visible to other members of the opposite gender who are browsing profiles.
Your Instagram handle and phone number are not shown to anyone until you accept a request (or your request is accepted). At that point they become visible to that specific member. Once revealed, we cannot take that information back — please treat accepting a request as a deliberate decision to share your contact details.
Service providers
We use third-party service providers to run the App. Each receives only what it needs to perform its function, and none are permitted to use your data for their own purposes:
| Category | What it handles |
|---|---|
| Sign-in provider | Authenticates you and provides your email address and name (this is Google — the same account you sign in with) |
| Cloud hosting provider | Runs our backend server, located in India |
| Database hosting provider | Hosts our database, located outside India — see section 5 |
| Cloud storage provider | Stores your uploaded photographs |
| Push notification provider | Delivers notifications to your device |
Legal disclosure
We may disclose data where we are required to by law, or where it is necessary to investigate fraud, protect someone's safety, or defend our legal rights.
5. Where your data is stored
Our backend runs in India, but our database is currently hosted in Singapore, and photographs are stored with a cloud storage provider outside India.
This means your personal data is stored and processed outside India. By using the App, you consent to this transfer. We take reasonable steps to ensure our providers apply appropriate security protections.
6. How long we keep it, and what happens when you leave
If you deactivate your account
Your profile is hidden from other members, but your data is retained so you can reactivate later.
If you delete your account
We permanently delete your profile, your photographs (including the stored image files), your interests, requests, profile visit history and session tokens. This cannot be undone.
One thing is kept. When an account is deleted we retain a small deletion record containing your email address, an internal user identifier, and the date of deletion. We keep this to prevent abuse — for example, someone repeatedly deleting and recreating an account to evade a suspension or a report — and to maintain a record that the deletion took place.
Reports you submitted about other members, and moderation records about your own account, are also retained so that safety decisions remain reviewable.
7. Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct anything inaccurate or incomplete — most of your profile can be edited directly in the App at any time
- Delete your data — available in the App under account settings, subject to the retention described in section 6
- Withdraw consent — you can withdraw by deleting your account; note that we cannot operate the Service for you without the data described above
- Complain to us (section 9) or to the Data Protection Board of India
You can also nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity — write to us if you wish to do so.
8. Security
We protect your data using measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS) between the App and our servers, access controls on our database, private photo storage that is not publicly browsable (images are served through short-lived signed links), and hashed session tokens.
The App also blocks screenshots on screens showing other members' photographs and contact details. This raises the effort required to copy them but cannot make it impossible — nothing prevents someone photographing a screen with another device.
No system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we will notify you and the relevant authority of a personal data breach where the law requires it.
9. Contact and grievances
For any question about this policy, or to exercise any of your rights, contact:
Grievance Officer: Shreyas Patel
Entity: Let's Solve Together
Email: shreyaspatel29@gmail.com
We will acknowledge your request or complaint within 24 hours and aim to resolve it within 15 days.
10. Children
The App is not intended for anyone below the legal age of marriage in India — 21 for men and 18 for women. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone below these ages. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us and we will remove it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date will change, and where the change is significant we will make a reasonable effort to notify you in the App.
